My God an update?
Well I haven't updated in a while,
because there really hasn't been that much news to bring you. Everyone is still
pretty busy with other stuff at the moment, sorry guys we have lives outside of
SWTA, rest assured though work will continue soon…..ish.
Well after much debating in our forums, we have decided to have an intro movie made
for our game. So we have enlisted the help of Icefire, he is an established movie
maker and if you would like to check out some of his previous work check out his site
here.
We are really looking forward to see what Icefire can do after seeing
some of his other productions, with his interesting theme of Star Wars V's Star
Trek. As I said before go check it out. Due to a technical 'hitch' at my end I'm having to update today using notepad, so I don't really fancy setting out the results from the polls today. As soon as I get Front Page back I will sort that out for you. Cya |

Choose
the SWTA Tile screen. Or at least influence our decision, our problem is we have too many high quality frontends to choose from. There are officially six SWTA frontends, but we have narrowed it down to the four best. Click the Falcon to take the survey:: Back onto the news any way, unfortunately Han and Hawkman have both had exams in the past few weeks so they haven't been up to much. They have now finished though, so they can get back to work on those remaining units. The most progression however has been by Yensid and Master Soda who are busy with the interface. Although we don't know which one we are using the frontend is finished bar a few tweaks. So Master Soda has now moved to working on the in game screen. Keep it real |

Just
a quickie folks, Yes we are still alive, and I'm sorry for not updating much recently. The good news is there are only four more units that need to be completely finished for the starter pack. Also Yensid now has the help of Master Soda so the progress of the Interface is still going well. Also there is a new site layout in the pipeline, it's still in the design stage at the moment, but we hope to bring it to you soon. Element 115 out |

Gaf
problem solved! Yes our biggest problem has been solved; Hawkman has come up with a fresh new design for the build pic's that are different from the status quo, just to emphasis the point we are making a total conversion. So what to they look like? Well you'll just have to wait and see :o), we do like to keep a few surprises up our sleeves. Yensid has also found a co-worker who will help him in creating our new interface. At this point I think I'll mention that for the forthcoming starter pack we will not have a complete new interface, we will only be changing a few screens. The front-end, the single player menu screen and the in game screen e.g. all the one with Total Annihilation or Arm and Core logos. However we do plan to bring you a new interface as an add-on probably after the full game is released, this is due to the huge amount of work needed for the interface. And now for something completely different A noticed this week that the Star Wars Warcraft2 conversion is back up and running, if like me you loved Warcraft2 I'd recommend checking it out, as they have a couple of good screen shots there. So
how have you been? Cos we've been good, :o). The Spaceport pack is now uploaded to TAU, sorry peeps we didn't realise that our old hosts Telefragged had deleted it. For those of you who don't know the Spaceport pack is a taster of what is to come from us, it's a bit dated now, but give it ago if you haven't already. I'd just like to say thanx to Cavedog for the Necro, nice to see you guys still care. Element 115 out |

Starter
pack becomes official. Instead of waiting till the whole conversion is completed we have decided to release as set of 'core' units (aka the starter pack) and then we will release several add-ons with additional labs and units until the whole conversion is complete. The 'core' units as I have described them are all the things you will need to get your base up and running plus two level one labs. I will organise a page where the listings of the pack can be found, but if you desperately want to see what will be included in the pack there is a thread open in the forum. Sorry if you're a regular to our forum because the starter pack is hardly 'news' to you any more. Stay tuned for further details on the starter pack that will becoming your way soon. Yensid is still working on the interface and because this is a rather large job he has mentioned that he could do with some help. So do you want to help design our interface? Think your good enough eh? Well then contact Yensid. Applicants should have had previous graphics experience and be comfortable using packages like PhotoShop and Paint Shop Pro and examples of your work is preferable. In other news on the conversion Han, Hawkman and Slaya are finishing up the models that are needed for the forthcoming starter pack. As far as I know Jer is still working on the Destroyer Droid script, boy that will kick ass when it's complete. Otherwise Element 115 out |
