Quick message from HAN! This is an email I got via email concerning the latest release: I cannot play TA with the spaceport pack, because every time the gameentersthe load screen (with all the meters), the game exits and says "cannot find3dfiles/empimisle.3do" (or something to that effect, spelling?). Anyway, Ihave waited with baited breath for your conversion and I am dissapointed...how can this be remedied. Keep in mind that I have downloaded, installed, andloaded the Spaceport .zip's (all 6) in the correct folder, as per thereadme.I have ver 3.1 and Core Contingency. What's up? Reply: Sorry to hear about your problem - but luckily it's one I suffer from myself. The problem is; it is looking for the 3do that is associated with the ARM EMP. The reason I personally get this error, is that I have all my 3rd Party unitspacked into a CCX file. SWTA.exe should not detect UFO files, but if you ahveany 3rd Party units in a file other than that, either a CCX, GPF or UFO, thenthey will have to be moved out of the TA directory to play. The final version of SWTA should be more user-frendly, hopefully avoiding allArm and Core units, eliminating this problem. Sorry for the inconvenience, get back to me if you still have trouble... HANSOLO Hope this helps! SpUtNiK |

Come and Play! Due to the excellent work of Cheese, we are now presenting you with the Spaceport pack that has been in BETA testing over the past few weeks. TA Universe have made an excellent preview for this pack, and I am not even going to try to match it. Head on over there to read, after downloading the files, from the mirror they have so kindly provided. I will upload the files to Telefragged ASAP, and then they will appear in the downloads section. Spaceport 1, Spaceport 2, Spaceport 3, Spaceport 4, Spaceport 5, Spaceport 6. Yes that's right, 6 files, but for this you are getting a look at some of our units, and some missions. Enjoy! HANSOLO |

We are all sorted! Thanks to the help of a friendly guy going by the name of Zoo from SWMA.Net, I have been pointed towards a few Lightwave websites that have highly detailed models of StarWars objects. C for yourself: |

Not much really! Unfortunately things are really slow at the moment, but do not despare. HAN is busy doing exams and me well... Im putting together some more capital ships for Cheese. Did anybody get the maps I mentioned a few days ago? What are they like? Start off a new topic on the BB if you have tried them... I have also been sent a screenshot by Cheese: Finally, I had totally forgotton that Moete sent me a YT1300 a few weeks back fully operational. So I will make sure it is included in spaceport pack! |

Maps, maps and more maps... + a FAQ I know its been a long time... :-( I have added a FAQ so that I don't get stupid emails about people not being able to download units... and various other questions I keep get asked. Although it isn't all that big, it will expand with time. Yes, finally someone has told me about maps they have been making... so here goes:
There are some others @ http://www.tauniverse.com/rat/maps unfortunately I haven't tried them so you will have to C for your self. Sorry! |

Lots of goodies,.... and another tileset to download :-) Again I need to apologise for not updating recently... Cheese has completed his beta and it is currently been tested by our members... here is a snippet of what is in the readme file: "The Spaceport Pack The MISSIONS: Tatooine Mission- Hoth Mission- Dantooine Mission- The UNITS: Rebel Units- Expensive and long to build, but durable and all w/shields Imperial Units TIE/LN Standard snub fighter; easy to mass produce TIE Bomber Three Proton bombs with cheese and french fries please TIE Advanced A little better than the A0wing in some ways; a little worse in some TIE Interceptor What a TIE fighter should have been TIE Scout Cheapo fast scout craft with no weapons (OH CRAP, THOUSANDS OF DUDS!) Missileboat Slow gunboat excellent for taking out bombers and enemy strongholds" So there you go... should be good fun once released... :-) Chesse is also hard at work to bring you another pack with capital ships (eg, ISD, Corvettes,...) Which brings me to my next topic, Cheese's pack will require space maps..... which to my knowledge aren't all that common. So I have been working on a space tileset for you all to download :-) Here are some of the tiles: Download it here! |

Missions! Yes yes yes.... Hi everyone, AirSean has just uploaded the missions for the TC which will eventually become reality with the help of Element115. Please use the BB as a way of communicating with AirSean and AvengerOne, I'm sure they would be happy to listen to your ideas/comments. Last night I got a sneak preview of the stuff Cheese is working on... the Space TC bit... it looks really good! Leros also sent me these rather cool pics..... anyone seen HAN? |

Various bits... Right lets start with this: AirSean and AvengerOne have update their Story/Mission section so go check it out! Warman2097 has released a BETA of his UTAES to the public... the FTP server he has seems a bit slow so I have uploaded it to our Telefragged servers! Download it from us here... this was taken from his website: "Hi everybody ! Good news today, i've just added TABME v2.5 in UTAES. It look like old TABME, but with new editing tools. And other good news, I RELEASE UTAES V0.5 BETA. I hope you were waiting this moment. But where is the link to download it, where, .. i can't find it .. DON'T PANIC, it's HERE. Note that it's a BETA, so people who try this version are "tester", because they have to report me any bug, crash or anything else :-)" Thats it really unless HANSOLO decides to update tonight... :-) |

Well some good news and some bad news! Right, I'll start withe good news... AirSean and AvengerOne now have their own section. BTW they are the guys who are producing the story/missions! So once they have uploaded their stuff you should all be able to admire their work... remeber there is a section titled Story/Missions on the BB. So just in case you have comments/complaints/ideas please don't start flaming them, use the BB! Some other good news is that Top200 is back online! It took almost 4 weeks for the guys to realise that something was wrong!! So yes, do please vote at your convenience! BTW we're 4th, thats one hell of a jump since it was last working! The Bad news you ask? Well HAN still hasn't uploaded the BETA :-( But don't despare! Cheese has decided to put together a pack with a few goodies...! Hawkman's Bryce 4 is being held up by Norwegian custom officers... so unfortunately and update for the tilesets is still distant! Although I have Bryce 4 myself my PentiumPro 200 kinda gives up on me when it comes to rendering :-( I'll leave you with these rather cool unit pics that might cheer you all up!

First download in ages..... (about time!) Hi everyone, yes, we have decided to let people download the two tilesets that are usable. Note usable! Not complete! They are by no means the final versions..... Hawkman, Desperado and myself are currently working on improving the current tilesets for next week, naturally if you make any maps with the tilesets you are welcome to have them uploaded to our FTP and linked through our page. If you however have large amounts of FTP space of your own then please just tell us about the map so we can share it with all the other visitors of this page. So if you have a map please email me, ta_starwars@hotmail.com I you have any problems what so ever please don't hesitate to post a message on the Bullentin Board under the maps section, we should be able to help asap. |

Approaching 2000 hits in the first week plus a rather pointless tutorial Hi everyone, things are coming along beautifully! Expect some really big updates this weekend,... I have seen a draft of the missions which are indeed very juicy, thanks to AirSean and AvengerOne! They will surely be the subject of many discussion which I can't wait to listen in to.
